If you missed these on the cake mix box, Nancy didn't.  They taste wonderful and no one will be able to tell you didn't slave away in the kitchen.

     Enjoy,
     Jane Marie

Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Combine and beat 2 minutes with a mixer or 300 strokes by hand:
  • 1 package white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sour cream

Stir in:

  • 1/2 to 1 12 ounce package miniature semisweet chocolate chips (the regular ones will sink to the bottom)

Grease and flour a bundt pan.

Pour the cake mixture into the prepared pan.

Bake 45 to 50 minutes in a 350° F oven.

Cool 10 minutes and invert pan to continue cooling.

When the cake has cooled and has been removed from the pan, glaze with a powdered sugar (10X plus butter plus dash vanilla plus milk) glaze.  For a dramatic dessert, glaze the cake a second time with a chocolate (cocoa plus 3 times as much powdered sugar plus butter plus dash vanilla plus milk) glaze.

  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Grease and flour a bundt pan.

Pour half of the cake mixture into the prepared pan.
