Gone With The Wind - main page Books about Gone With The Wind Hollywood Hearts Romance Victorian Life Living graciously isn't just a matter of setting a lovely table or supplementing your business cards with personal calling cards. I believe it's those special gestures we make that define a gracious person. As the recipient of an exceptional treasure, I have the joy of possessing something unique in artistic, historic and emotional value. More importantly, I am reminded of how lovely it is to experience gracious behavior in others, and I am inspired to seek out opportunities to be as gracious as possible in my own dealings with people. It's not always easy to be gracious, of course, but it is a worthy goal. Always, |
I recently met Marilyn Williamson, a resident of Amelia Island, as am I. We got to talking and the subject of Gone With The Wind arose, as it often does when I manage to work my writing and website into the conversation. Marilyn has collected GWTW memoribilia for years and given much away. One of the last things she still had was an antique rectangular gold tone locket on the original card. It opens and has Gone With The Wind engraved on the front and the image of Scarlett engraved on the back. Marilyn told me these lockets were passed out during the 1936 Atlanta premiere of Gone With The Wind. click on the photos to enlarge them
Marilyn gave it to me! Thank you, Marilyn. I will care for it always.
