Do you have a favorite hankie that belonged to your grandmother or was yours as a child? Starch and iron the handkerchief. Stitch the four corners to the front of a pillow that coordinates with a room in your house. This way your treasure is available for all to enjoy instead of stashed away in the drawer.

You'll need:
Stuff the pillowcase with the stuffing, pillow form or cast-off pillow, making sure to place the form or old pillow near the decorated edge so the fancywork is displayed. Stitch a short length of ribbon on both sides and tie the opening closed. Fold back the “extra fabric” to make straight edges. More ideas:
