Milan is the home of Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper and the gateway to the lake district of northern Italy. You will see photos of neither below, but I plan to go back to Italy. I found Milan to be coldly industrial without the charm of other places in Italy, but even an Italian manufacturing town has some beautiful buildings.
