Nancy's bead classes and list of upcoming Oklahoma bead shows
June 2010: There is virtually no possibility of our little group morphing into a bead society. Do not expect to hear from us at this time. February 2010: We're small and not quite ready to grow. Stay tuned. January 2010: Our first meeting will be January 12th at 6:30 at the Panera near the airport! Finally! Summer 2009: Two people contacted me about getting the society in motion. The results:
March 2008: I know there are jewelry designers and beaders here in OKC, but where are they? Of course, I do win all the door prizes at the meetings. And I can attend all gatherings in my underwear. Still ... October 23, 2006: We [that's the royal "we" since until Saturday I was the only member of the society] are pleased to welcome Bonnie Holeman of Wichita, Kansas, to society membership. Bonnie teaches wire work, is a clever and talented jewelry designer and a darned nice person. September 12, 2005: They do exist. There's a small, informal bead group here that meets a couple of times a month. And I met them! August 14, 2005: I just now had a chance to absorb the messages from the past president of okbeadsociety.com. She put me onto a Yahoo! Group, OklahomaBeaders, which I have joined. They may be just what I'm looking for in terms of local people who can help me learn more about beads and beading. Can this mean the end of the Greater Oklahoma City Bead Society? August 11, 2005: Yesterday's e-mail to the webmaster of okbeadsociety.com didn't produce any results, so this morning I wrote to the past president for advice. My vision is a bead society without dues (for as long as possible). I just want to learn more about beads and share what I know. With a little outside help, I believe this can be done. August 10, 2005: There is no greater Oklahoma City Bead Society - yet. I have decided to begin one. Starting today with this page.
