Appetizers Recipes This delicious recipe came from my good friend and horticultural adviser, Larry Dingman. The secret to these lovely delights is not to over bake them, which dries them out. They are pretty to look at and if you have no willpower, like I sometimes don’t, they can easily make a meal - if you add a little salad to round things out. Enjoy,

You'll need:
Thaw the puff pastry and lay it flat on wax paper. Spread each sheet with a thin layer of mustard. Add a thin layer of ham and then cheese. Tightly roll each square of pastry. Seal the edge with a damp finger. Seam side down, slice each roll into 1/4" to 1/2" pieces. Coat a cookie sheet with non-stick spray; lay out the pinwheel circles and bake at 350˚F for 10 to 12 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE. They’ll still taste great but will become tough. Serve on a pretty platter. Each sheet makes about 20, depending upon how thickly they’re sliced. If you don’t need them all, make one sheet. |
