Make your own floral lampshade to add romance and softness to any room. Don't have a tabletop lamp on which to put your shade? Not to worry. Use a 12 inch taper candle and a tall candleholder instead. This is for decorative purposes only. DO NOT LIGHT THE CANDLE! Choose a shade that looks proportionally right with the base you're using. I used an 8 inch shade with my candle and tall candleholder. For an 8 inch diameter lampshade, you'll need:
Glue on the flowers, placing them so that any green leaves are randomly displayed. Add any adornment you choose (less is usually more) atop one of the flowers or at the top edge of the shade. If you're using a candle and candleholder as the base, place the wire bale of the shade over your candle. Place the candle in the candleholder and straighten the shade. If you have a traditional lamp base, attach the shade to the bulb and straighten.
