Recipes My dear friend, Gail Waterhouse, sent me this idea to make an omelet in a Ziploc® bag. I tried it, loved it, and make it a lot. It's especially fun for a group, kids or adults. Have the ingredients on hand, let each person fill their own bags with their favorite extras. They should write their name on their bags before dropping them in boiling water. Serve fruit and muffins, and you've got a fun omelet party! Give it a try. Enjoy,

Per serving you'll need:
Place two eggs into one Ziploc® bag. Seal it shut. Mash on the bag to mix the eggs well. Add selected extra ingredients to taste, avoiding ingredients that are too "juicy" like tomatoes, so the omelet will cook through. Seal the bag and gently knead to mix.
Open the bag, and squeeze as much excess air out as possible. Drop the bag into rolling boiling water for 13 minutes. Carefully open the bag and slip the omelet out onto a plate. Garnish with a strawberry or other fruit if desired. |
